Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to Main Act Studio Mix and Live Sound, including their websites, apps, lessons, drills, analysis tools, progress features, and related services (together, the “Service”). Main Act provides the Service.

By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service provides ear training, mixing and live-sound education, guided practice, progress tracking, and browser-based audio analysis. It is part of the Main Act practice system.

Exercises, scores, recommendations, and educational material are learning aids. They are not a substitute for professional engineering, hearing-health, legal, financial, or other licensed advice, and they do not guarantee a particular result.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age or parental authorization, that requirement also applies.

Provide accurate registration information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for protecting your sign-in credentials.

• Do not share credentials or let another person use your account.
• Tell Main Act Support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
• Use the account controls to correct profile information, export account data, or request deletion.

The Service may offer free access, recurring Pro plans, trials, promotions, and one-time plans. Feature limits and plan scope are shown in the product or at checkout and may differ by school, platform, or promotion.

For a recurring plan, you authorize the payment provider to charge the displayed amount at the displayed interval until you cancel. Cancel before the next renewal through the Main Act account portal or the app store that processed the purchase. Store-billed purchases are also subject to that store’s billing and refund rules.

Stripe or the applicable app store processes payment credentials. Main Act receives transaction and subscription details needed to provide access, but does not receive your full card number from Stripe Checkout.

For billing mistakes or refund questions, email support@mainact.app. Any refund is subject to applicable law and the policy shown at purchase.

You may use the Service for personal or professional learning. You may not:

• bypass access controls, usage limits, or payment systems;
• use bots, scraping, or automated access without written permission;
• interfere with the Service, probe for vulnerabilities, or distribute malware;
• reverse-engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• impersonate another person, abuse public or support features, or use the Service unlawfully; or
• copy or redistribute substantial Service content outside the permissions these Terms grant.

Main Act and its licensors retain their rights in the Service, including its curriculum, interface, drills, writing, graphics, software, and original audio. Artist and song references identify third-party works for educational discussion; those works remain the property of their respective owners.

You retain your rights in audio files and other material you choose to analyze or submit. You give Main Act only the permissions reasonably needed to operate the feature you chose. Mix Check performs its file analysis in your browser and does not upload that selected audio file.

Main Act may improve, add, remove, or discontinue features and may update free limits or paid plan offerings. We will not retroactively change a completed charge, and we will provide notice when applicable law or a material plan change requires it.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, security work, network failures, vendor outages, or events outside Main Act’s control.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Main Act does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Main Act will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, business opportunity, or data arising from use of the Service. These limits do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Signed-in users can request an account export or permanent deletion from Settings. Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate actions: cancel through the payment provider if you do not want another renewal.

Main Act may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, comply with law, address nonpayment, or respond to a material breach of these Terms. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Main Act may update these Terms as the Service or law changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. When a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.

Applicable law governs these Terms. Nothing here waives a consumer right or remedy that cannot be waived. Contact Main Act Support first so we can try to resolve a concern directly.
